    Job Overview

    Blackstone Management, LLC is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Assistant to join our team.

    This position supports a variety of accounting functions and plays an important role in maintaining accurate financial information, organized records, and efficient accounting operations.

    The ideal candidate will have a solid bookkeeping or accounting background, strong attention to detail, and the ability to learn new systems and accounting software quickly.

    Candidates should have a minimum of two years of accounting or bookkeeping experience. College coursework or a degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field is preferred but is not required.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Perform accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including invoice processing, payment tracking, and account maintenance.
    • Assist with financial data entry and maintain accurate accounting records.
    • Enter and maintain inventory-related information when applicable.
    • Assist with balance sheet reconciliations and general ledger accounting to support accurate financial reporting.
    • Maintain accurate records of journal entries, debits, credits, and other bookkeeping activities.
    • Collaborate with team members on budgeting, account analysis, and credit analysis activities.
    • Utilize accounting software, including Sage, for financial transactions, recordkeeping, and reporting.
    • Assist with tax preparation and governmental accounting compliance as needed.
    • Provide audit support by preparing requested financial documentation, schedules, and reports.
    • Help ensure accounting records are accurate, complete, organized, and maintained in accordance with established procedures.

    Skills & Qualifications

    • Minimum of two years of accounting or bookkeeping experience.
    • Strong bookkeeping and accounting background.
    • Ability to learn new accounting software and technology quickly.
    • Experience with accounting software; familiarity with Sage is helpful.
    • Strong understanding of financial concepts, including double-entry bookkeeping, debits and credits, account reconciliation, and general accounting principles.
    • Strong mathematical skills and excellent attention to detail.
    • Ability to accurately enter, review, and analyze financial information.
    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to maintain orderly financial records and supporting documentation.
    • Ability to manage multiple assignments and priorities efficiently.
    • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also completing assigned responsibilities independently.
