    Make every voice count

    Good meeting etiquette.

Help keep the meeting respectful, organized, and useful for everyone attending.

    01 · Be heard clearly

Mute when you are not speaking.

Background conversations, televisions, and keyboard noise can distract others. Unmute when it is your turn, then mute again when you finish.

    02 · Share the floor

    Wait to be recognized.

Follow the chair’s instructions for asking questions or requesting to speak. Allow the current speaker to finish before responding.

    03 · Keep it constructive

    Be respectful and concise.

Different viewpoints are welcome. Focus on the issue, avoid personal remarks, and leave time for other participants to contribute.

    04 · Stay on track

    Follow the agenda.

Keep comments relevant to the topic being discussed. Use the designated comment period or follow-up process for other questions.

    05 · Be present

    Limit distractions.

Silence unrelated notifications and choose an appropriate background if using video. Give the meeting your attention and keep materials within reach.

    06 · Protect personal details

    Keep private matters private.

Avoid sharing personal account balances, contact details, or sensitive matters in the group discussion. Contact management separately for individual concerns.

    A little help getting connected

    Common meeting questions.

Keep your meeting invitation handy. It contains the details specific to your community and scheduled meeting.

Does the meeting open in another tab or app?

No. The meeting runs inside the meeting room on this page, so you stay on the Blackstone website the whole time. There is nothing to download and no account to create. If you want a larger view, choose More → Full screen during the meeting.

    What is the waiting room?

For privacy, attendees wait briefly until a meeting host lets them in. Keep this page open; you will join automatically as soon as you are admitted. You can check your camera and microphone while you wait.

What if I cannot hear or be heard?

When your browser asks, allow access to your camera and microphone. If you selected Block by mistake, select the camera or lock icon in the address bar, allow access, and refresh the page. Also check your device volume and the microphone and speaker selected under More → Audio & video settings.

Why can I not unmute or raise my hand?

Hosts decide who can speak, share a screen, chat, or raise a hand. If your microphone button is unavailable, raise your hand and wait to be recognized. If raise hand is also unavailable, follow the chair’s instructions for comments.

Why am I hearing an echo?

Use only one device for meeting audio, and keep your microphone muted when you are not speaking. If two people are in the same room, only one should have audio on. Headphones also help.

    Can I join by phone?

Yes, from your phone’s web browser: open this page in Safari (iPhone) or Chrome (Android) and join as you would on a computer. Telephone dial-in is not available for this room.

What if the meeting has not started?

Check the date, time, and room in your invitation. If you arrived early, wait for the scheduled start; once you join, you will wait in the waiting room until a host lets you in. For scheduling questions, contact the person listed in your meeting notice.

When can I ask a question or comment?

Follow the chair’s instructions and the agenda. Speaking opportunities may vary by meeting type. Prepare your question, keep it brief, and wait until you are recognized.

Thank you for being part of the conversation.Return to the meeting room ↑
